cast of Due South

Wonderfully quirky is the best way to describe this CBS series. Benton Fraser (Paul Gross), a Royal Canadian Mountie comes to Chicago looking for the men who murdered his father. What he finds is trouble, which forces him to remain in the States, and a new friend, one Detective Ray Vecchio (David Marciano) of the Chicago Police Department. Fraser's faithful companion, besides Vecchio , is Diefenbaker, his donut-eating deaf wolf.

In the third season Ray Vecchio goes deep undercover and is replaced by Detective Stanley Raymond Kowalski (Callum Keith Rennie), who pretends to be Ray Vecchio.

Other notable cast members included the ghost of Fraser's father, Robert Fraser (Gordon Pinsent), Ray's wacky sister Francesca (Ramona Milano), Fraser's boss, Inspector Meg Thatcher (Camila Scott), and police department locals, Lieutenant Harding Welsh (Beau Starr), Detectives Louis Guardino (Daniel Kash) and Jack Huey (Tony Craig), and police volunteer Elaine Besbriss (Catherine Bruhier).

Aired 1994-1996 on CBS (40 episodes).
