This syndicated series followed the adventures of Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul), a 400 year old Immortal. Episodes were filmed in Toronto and Paris, allowing for some beautiful backdrops to Mac's quickenings. The series also boasted some wonderful regulars: Richie Ryan (Stan Kirsch), a young burglar who becomes Mac's friend and later his student, when Richie himself dies and is reborn an Immortal; Tessa Noel (Alexandra Vandernoot), Duncan's love interest who is killed; Joe Dawson (Jim Byrnes) a member of the Watchers, a group of humans who know who and what Immortals are; Charlie DeSalvo (Phil Akin) Duncan's friend and a martial arts expert, who is also killed; Methos (Peter Wingfield), who is believed to be the oldest of the surviving Immortals; Amanda Darieux (Lisa Howard), another Immortal who is both Duncan's bane and his sometime lover; and that's just to name a few! Aired 1992-1998 (119 episodes). |
