Harmon Rabb (David James Elliott), an attorney with the Judge Advocate General (JAG) corps of the U.S. Navy, was the son of a decorated Navy pilot who was shot down during the Vietnam War. A former Navy pilot himself, Harm was forced to give up his wings after losing his night vision. While the series is a courtroom drama, Harm and his fellow JAGs spend plenty of time in the field, accumulating evidence and developing their cases. Harm's foil is Colonel Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie (Catherine Bell), and their superior officer (boss) is Admiral A.J. Chegwidden (former Navy SEAL). Helping Harm and Mac on their cases are: Lt. j.g. Bud Roberts (Patrick Labyorteaux) and his wife, Ensign Harriet Simms (Karri Turner). Adm. Chegwidden has Petty Officer Tiner (Chuck Carrington) as his personal assistant. From time to time Agent Clayton Webb (Steven Culp) of the CIA shows up, giving Harm and the rest assignments that usually end in trouble.
NBC (1995-1996) and then on CBS (1997-2005).
