The Legacy is a secret society, formed in the 6th century as humanity's last defense against the creatures who inhabit the shadows of the night. The series follows the adventures of the members from one Legacy House (on Angel Island in San Francisco Bay). The precept of the house, Derek Rayne (Derek de Lint) has Ph.D.'s in Anthropology and Theology, and is their psychic leader. Also in the group are Nick Boyle (Martin Cummins), an ex-Navy SEAL, Father Philip Callaghan (Patrick Fitzgerald), Alexandra "Alex" Moreau (Robbi Chong), Derek's protege, Dr. Rachel Corrigan (Helen Shaver), a psychiatrist, and Rachel's daughter Katherine "Kat" Corrigan (Alexandra Purvis). Aired 1996-1998 (three seasons) on Showtime, and 1999-2000 (one season) on the Sci-Fi Channel. |
