Aloha Hoahanau: A Riptide Novel
Written by Sheri Young.

This is a crossover with Jake and the Fatman

The Riptide detectives travel to Hawaii so Murray can compete in an inventors' conference, but their vacation in paradise takes a deadly turn. An escaped convict is stalking Jake Styles, Prosecuting Attorney J.L. McCabe's chief investigator. The only problem is, he mistakes Nick Ryder for his target.

Wounded and running, Nick is unsure who is hunting him or why. Bad weather and rugged terrain adds to his trouble. Luckily Cody and Murray aren't about to leave their lost companion in the wilderness. But saving Nick's life only opens up an entirely new danger -- family, a half-brother Nick never knew about named Jake Styles. As both men struggle to come to grips with the realization issues of family and friendship become both blurred and more concrete.

This finely crafted tale is wonderfully angsty and character driven. For any Jake and the Fatman purists out there, you'll have to consider this an AU story, but if you're a Riptide or Jake and the Fatman fan, you can't miss this one!
