Ghosts, zombies, graverobbers, and nutty curses filled the episodes of this paranormal spoof. The two would-be parapsychologists were Dr. Jonathan MacKensie (Trevor Eve), a physical anthropologist at the Georgetown Institute of Science, and Edgar "Benny" Benedek (Dennis Dugan), a reporter for the rather trashy National Register. MacKensie was a reluctant draftee into the world of the paranormal, sent out to do research by the head of his department, Dr. Juliana Moorhouse (Nina Foch), and Benny associated himself with Dr. Jon and the Georgetown Institute, much to the dismay of Dr. Moorhouse.
