Another of the 1980s buddy series. Rick and A.J. Simon were brothers, but you'd never know it to look at them. They were also partners in a detective agency in San Diego, California. A.J. (Jameson Parker, left) was the clean-cut, business-orientated younger brother and Rick (Gerald McRaney, right) was the older, disorganized, scruffier brother, who also happened to be a Vietnam vet. Despite their differing approaches to life and work, the brothers were always close. There was also a nice supporting cast, including Rick and A.J.'s mother, Cecilia Simon (Mary Carver), rival detective agency owner, Myron Fowler (Eddie Barth), Myron's daughter and one-time romantic interest for A.J., Janet Fowler (Jeannie Wilson), and their police contact and friend Downtown Brown (Tim Reid).
